Assessment

Is the assessment to determine content competence appropriate to the way the lesson was taught?  For example, if the teacher taught spelling words by asking students to practice spelling words, does the assessment ask students to spell words (what was taught) or does the teacher ask students to use the words in sentences (which was not taught)?  Does the plan suggest teacher is aware of the need to use a variety of assessments - written, oral, project, debate, role playing, hands on, etc?

 

 

You will also want to REFLECT on your lesson; for example:

  • what are the areas where you could have taught or planned more effectively?
  • what will you do differently the next you teach this lesson?
